Sappi North America
Sappi Westbrook near Portland, Maine is where our history began in 1854 with the S. D. Warren Company. It is the site of the first coated papermaking facility in the US and the place where Sappi North America first developed its reputation for quality and innovation. The Westbrook Mill manufactures Casting and Release papers used in a myriad of diverse applications, including the fashion, automotive, aerospace and flooring industries. Our vegan-leather and natural textures can be seen in many products around the world ranging from shoes to handbags and car interiors to countertops.

Sappi is presently accepting applications for full‑time Utilities Operator position at our Westbrook, Maine facility.

Applicants Must Have:
  • A stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • A willingness to work rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong safety history and awareness.
  • Must be able to pass designated pre‑employment testing
  • A State of Maine High Pressure Boiler License or greater or the ability to obtain a State of Maine High Pressure Boiler License.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
Desired Experience:
  • Experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating large industrial equipment/machinery/boilers.
  • Experience operating high and low pressure steam systems.
  • Fork Truck experience and/or license.
  • Driver's License.
