A quality certification service provider is seeking an individual for inspecting Reefer Containers around Durban. The role includes monitoring product temperatures, supervising loading processes, and maintaining documentation. Candidates should hold a Grade 12 certificate, have strong communication and customer service skills, and demonstrate the ability to work independently. A valid driving license and mobile phone are essential. This position supports the quality certification and cold chain management services for perishable food products.

Qualifications

• Competency in Container inspections will be an advantage.
• Experience in various cold chain functions will be an advantage.
• Essential: Own Mobile Phone with primary cell number.

Job Description

Inspection of Reefer Containers at various locations in and around the Durban area. Monitor product temperatures at Cold Stores and supervise container loading process on normal container loading. Terminal monitoring of containers. Complete and process required documentation timeouesly and accurately. The minimum administrative tasks associated with the job level (Manual and Digital platforms). Communicate with various clients on own specific task and outcome of decisions. Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients. Continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility according to the PPECB performance framework.

Job Requirements

A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification. Competency in Container inspections will be an advantage. Experience in various cold chain functions will be an advantage. Computer Literate. Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work with minimum supervision. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrate behaviours in line with PPECB values. A valid code 08 driving license and own reliable vehicle will be advantage. Essential: Own Mobile Phone with primary cell number.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work at heights: climb onto trucks to check containers; climb down vessel hatches. Ability to work under Cold environments within cold rooms and cold stores.
