You will play an important role in driving change within our business, joining a department that is continually on a journey of change.

The Talent & Organisational Development (OD) Advisor plays a global role in delivering talent, learning, and organisational development initiatives across the business. Working as part of the international People & Talent function, the Advisor ensures that global programmes—such as leadership development, succession planning, engagement, and career frameworks—are successfully rolled out, embedded, and sustained.

Based in South Africa, the Advisor will also provide local support to the HR Business Partner when needed, ensuring alignment of global initiatives with local requirements and providing tactical support on recruitment, onboarding, and development activities. This dual focus ensures a global-first, locally relevant approach to people and talent practices.

Key Responsibilities

Global Talent & OD Programme Delivery

  • Support the design and rollout of global talent initiatives (e.g., career frameworks, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership programmes).
  • Coordinate learning and development activities across multiple regions, ensuring consistency of approach and quality of delivery.
  • Track and report on global programme participation, adoption, and impact.
  • Act as a liaison between regional stakeholders and the global Talent & OD team, ensuring insights from South Africa and other markets inform global strategy.

Learning & Development Support

  • Assist in the coordination of global leadership, skills, and capability programmes.
  • Support the delivery of digital and in-person workshops, including communications, logistics, and participant engagement.
  • Help maintain and update global learning platforms and resources.

Organisational Development & Engagement

  • Contribute to the rollout of culture, engagement, and inclusion initiatives across regions.
  • Support global engagement surveys, reporting, and action planning.
  • Provide input into organisational change and development projects as required.

South Africa Local Support (as required)

  • Provide tactical support to the HRBP South Africa on local recruitment coordination, onboarding, and talent processes.
  • Ensure global programmes are adapted to meet South African labour law and market requirements.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employees on development and learning queries when needed.

Data, Insights & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate global talent and learning data across HR systems.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders to track progress and highlight risks or gaps.
  • Provide insights from the South African market to enhance global practices.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Knowledge of HR, Talent, or Organisational Development practices, ideally in an international or matrixed organisation.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of global HR/Talent projects (e.g., performance, learning, engagement).
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and geographies.
  • Analytical mindset, with ability to manage and interpret HR/talent data.
  • Flexibility to balance global responsibilities with occasional local support in South Africa.

Technologies

  • HRIS and Talent systems (e.g., Iris Cascade, Pinpoint ATS, Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.
  • Employee engagement and survey tools (e.g., CultureAmp, Qualtrics).
