Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Site Supervisor on behalf of our client based in Johannesburg.
Client & Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and motivate Temporary Associates on-site. Participate in training and upskilling initiatives to ensure Associates meet client expectations.
- Monitor daily operations and ensure Associates comply with client rules, regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Oversee attendance, absenteeism, and timesheet records, intervening where performance or compliance issues arise.
- Approve team leave requests in line with company policy, and provide feedback to the Business Line Manager on Associate performance and development.
- Implement, maintain, and communicate all relevant company policies and procedures to the team.
- Report Health & Safety incidents on-site as required.
Recruitment & Client Service
- Ensure client requirements are met through effective recruitment and placement of suitably competent Associates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while increasing headcount and market share per client.
- Respond professionally to client queries, complaints, or escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain an updated Associate database and participate in client inductions and onboarding.
- Ensure all client service obligations under Service Level Agreements are met, and manage client perceptions positively.
Operational Management & Process Improvement
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and legislative requirements.
- Conduct regular checks of Associate performance, attendance, and payroll documentation.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective measures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure cost to serve client margins are maintained and escape operational challenges to the Business Line Manager.
- Support organizational development by providing feedback on client growth opportunities.
Analysis & Reporting
- Compile, review, and submit operational reports, including attendance, compliance, and payroll documentation.
- Monitor daily operations and escape issues or breaches to management.
- Conduct trend analysis on client and Associate performance to improve service delivery and mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, Associate files, and statutory compliance documentation.
Performance Management
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of Associates and provide constructive feedback.
- Monitor timekeeping, adherence to procedures, and SLA compliance.
- Recognize excellent performance and implement coaching or corrective measures as required.
- Ensure team performance aligns with quality standards and client expectations.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs for Associates and escape to management.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team competency and professional development.
- Keep the team updated on changes to company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Document and share best practices and operational tips to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Professional manner, positive attitude, and empathy.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of recruitment and internal administration processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated, high level of energy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of BCOE, WCA / IOD, Health & Safety, Benefits, and Bargaining Councils / LRA.
