Job summary

A leader in waste management based in South Africa is seeking a SHEQ Officer to enhance safety standards and ensure compliance with environmental health regulations. This role requires implementing safety protocols across depots, conducting accident investigations, and fostering safety awareness among staff. Successful candidates will have a related qualification and at least two years of experience in the mining industry, alongside knowledge of ISO standards. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years SHEQ related experience in the mining industry.
• Experience with SAMTRAC environmental legislation.
• Familiarity with auditing standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Improve audit results and compliance.
• Ensure acceptable LTIFR levels.
• Implement SHEQ awareness plans.
• Manage contractors and conduct investigations.
