Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position located in the City of Pretoria for a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Manager. The role involves implementing and overseeing safety and health regulations, conducting environmental inspections, managing occupational health standards, ensuring compliance with legal and safety guidelines, performing accident investigations, and providing relevant training. The SHEQ Manager will also collaborate across teams to maintain a safe and sustainable working environment while upholding the company’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve integrated SHEQ management systems across manufacturing operations
  • Ensure full compliance with OHSA, environmental legislation, quality standards, and client requirements
  • Identify risks, conduct assessments, investigate incidents and drive effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Embed a strong safety culture with active employee participation and accountability
  • Manage environmental performance, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory reporting
  • Define and maintain product and process quality standards with a prevention-focused approach
  • Drive continuous improvement through CAPA, root cause analysis, and quality performance tracking
  • Define, monitor, and report SHEQ KPIs aligned to business objectives
  • Provide clear, decision-ready SHEQ dashboards and management reports
  • Lead and develop SHEQ teams, training, inductions, and on-site compliance practices
  • Support a safe, compliant, and customer-focused organisational culture
Reporting cadence:

•Weekly operational reporting

•Monthly management reporting

Minimum Requirements
  • National Diploma or Degree in Safety, Environmental, Quality Management, or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years SHEQ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OHSA and manufacturing-related regulations
  • Proven experience in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
Advantageous
  • SAMTRAC (NOSA) and/or NEBOSH IGC or Diploma
  • ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Lead Auditor certifications
  • SAIOSH and/or SACPCMP registration
  • Experience in high-risk manufacturing environments
