They are now seeking an experienced Senior Travel Designer to join their team, capturing the heart of Africa while ensuring a seamless, high-touch experience or guests from start to finish.

Job Description:

In this role, you will manage every stage of the travel booking process, from crafting bespoke itineraries and confirming reservations to ensuring seamless client experiences from start to finish. You’ll liaise with suppliers, maintain high levels of accuracy, and uphold the company’s commitment to exceptional service and detail.

• Handle all aspects of the reservation process, including quotations, bookings, invoicing, and documentation
• Create well-planned, personalised itineraries and present suitable options to clients
• Liaise with suppliers to secure accurate confirmations and ensure smooth service delivery
• Manage deposits, payments, and any related financial queries in coordination with Accounts
• Follow up on provisional bookings and confirm details within the required timelines
• Communicate and manage special client requests with care and precision
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is correctly captured in internal systems
• Stay in touch with clients during travel, assisting when required
• Build strong relationships with partners and suppliers through presentations and training sessions
• Identify and address potential issues quickly to maintain operational excellence and client satisfaction

Experience Required:

• At least 5 years’ proven experience in inbound African travel or luxury tour operation
• Strong knowledge of African destinations, lodges, and safari logistics
• Experience creating itineraries with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency in Tourplan or similar reservations and quoting systems (advantageous)
• Genuine passion for African safari travel and delivering outstanding client service
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple bookings with ease
