Job summary

A global logistics company based in Centurion, South Africa, is seeking an experienced individual to oversee operations at East and West Warehouses. This role includes managing budget expenditures, ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining client relations, and effectively managing outbound inventory activities. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and up to 8 years of relevant experience in leadership positions within similar environments. Experience with SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years in operational leadership.
• Working knowledge of the Pharmacy act and Medicines and Related substances act.
• Knowledge of Good Wholesale and Distribution Practice.

Job Function

To assume ultimate accountability for East and West warehouse structures and to develop and optimise the business practices required to ensure the effective and efficient control of outbound logistics, accurate quality and quantity of inventory, reduced risk, client satisfaction and compliance to relevant policy and regulatory requirements.

Key Performance Areas

• Overall performance management of operations at East and West Warehouses at Centurion.
• Compliance to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Regulations and policies.
• Improving profitability of the East Warehouse by managing budget expenditure within established parameters.
• Total compliance to Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements.
• Establishing and maintaining good Client and Customer relations (Internally and Externally)
• Management of Inventory Outbound activities.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in related field.

Experience and Skills Required

• Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment with at least 5 years’ operational leadership or specialist experience.
• Working knowledge of the Pharmacy act / Medicines and Related substances act.
• Knowledge of Good Wholesale / Distribution Practice.
