SUMMARY :

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Financial Manager to oversee the full accounting function and ensure robust financial management and reporting. This role demands hands-on ownership of core financial processes, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and delivering exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and external partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach, and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making and sustainable business growth.

POSITION INFO :

Must qualify for registration as a Key Individual under FSCA regulations

Oversee the entire function, including leading the team and ensuring adherence to IFRS standards

Accountable for monthly financial reports, annual financial statements for multiple entities, and managing audit processes

Possess strong knowledge or practical experience with financing business principles

Handle VAT and income tax submissions along with SARS-related queries

Manage insurance-related financial matters and budget preparation

Ensure key financial processes are efficient, compliant, and properly documented

Lead projects by designing, planning, executing, and reviewing, while coordinating resources effectively

Produce timely financial reports, highlight any anomalies to management, oversee cash flow and forecasts, and prepare documentation for Executive Committee, Board meetings, and funders, including ad hoc reporting tasks

Skills & Experience :

Over 15 years of professional experience, ideally including work with medium-sized organizations and engagement with external stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities in financial management roles.

Solid understanding and practical application of IFRS standards.

Skilled in managing projects from initiation through completion.

Proficient with core Microsoft Office applications, with advanced expertise in Excel.

Familiarity with ERP platforms and accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

Adaptable and able to respond effectively to evolving business needs.

Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

Proactive learner with a results-oriented approach.

Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.

Collaborative team player with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues

Qualification :

BCom (Hons) / CTA with Accounting as a major.
