Debtors Clerk

St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls seeks a proactive, innovative Debtors Clerk with an engaging and caring personality who can positively influence and motivate staff and Parents. The Debtors Clerk will report directly to the Bursar/Business Manager and will be responsible for processing and collecting school debtors accounts from Grades 00 – 12.

Minimum requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in a similar position
  • Experience at a school in a similar position an advantage
  • Grade 12 or relevant tertiary qualification
  • Ability to perform all duties required in the debtor’s department, with examples of face-to-face assistance to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Excellent ability to plan and ensure all expectations are met
  • Excellent telephone manner and business communication/email etiquette
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict and diverse requests as part of the daily process
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to ensure admissions in takes, changes to grades yearly rollover, and changes through the year
  • Reconciliations with different systems (EdAdmin, EduAdmin, Excel) to ensure accurate records and balance with numbers at school on a daily basis
  • Good administrative, coordinating and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an accounting program
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Willing to support the Christian faith and values of the school
