Responsibilities

  • Support sales and application across all Bruker Optics product lines.
  • Evaluate potential customers in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Manage the full sales process: generate leads, assess customer applications, prepare quotations, and close sales via purchase orders.
  • Support demonstrations and report feasibility studies.
  • Provide customer training and coordinate training sessions at installation or on demand.
  • Coordinate installation timelines post-delivery with customers and service teams to ensure quick setup.
  • Manage from PO receipt to installation scheduling to ensure rapid revenue recognition.
  • Identify new market opportunities and applications.
  • Support customer events such as exhibitions, seminars, and workshops.
  • Report directly to the Team Leader Optics South Africa.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex requests.
  • Ability to work under high stress.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with diverse markets (QC and academia).
  • Proficiency in guiding customers through the sales process professionally.
  • High technical expertise and several years of sales and/or management experience in optical spectroscopy (FT-IR, Raman, NIR) or related markets.
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, physics, or pharmacy.
  • Good written and spoken English skills for communication with HQ.
  • Valid driving license is mandatory.
