Receptionist (Afrikaans) required in Johannesburg.

A vacancy is available for an Afrikaans-speaking Receptionist to join a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment in Midrand.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Switchboard:

  • To be able to transfer calls to the right channels.
  • Understanding of switchboard system.
  • Lines to be tested daily.
  • Ensuring all incoming lines are in operation.
  • Answering all incoming calls and redirecting.
  • Calls to be answered within three rings.
  • Keeping phone list up to date as needed.
  • Assisting with outgoing calls when needed.
  • Logging and reporting faults as they occur.
  • Message recoring and temely relaying of them (date, time, person, contact details, reason)
  • Help with general office duties.
  • Report problems, suggest solutions.

General office duties:

  • Assist with general typing / office admin.
  • Prining overdues / statements / invoices.
  • Print new cash customer forms.
  • Relieve front desk.
  • Daily filing of sales orders, maintaining filing system as well as archives.
  • Manage boardroom bookings.
  • Manage sales training book.
  • Capture all new cash customer forms and file as they arise.
  • Compile monthly sales report for sales manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Accurate typing skills
  • MS Office literate
  • Swithboard experience
  • Basic sales experience
  • Proactive, energetic and friendly
  • Eager to learn
  • Well spoken, clear voice
  • Bilingual (can communicate fluently in Afrikaans)
  • Professional appearance
