A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead HVAC projects in Cape Town. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, managing project resources, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. A strong background in HVAC systems and proven project management experience of over 5 years is essential. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. The position is based on-site in Brackenfell, South Africa.

Job description

An experienced Project Manager is required to lead HVAC projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining quality standards. This role involves planning, resource management, and liaising with clients, suppliers, and teams to achieve desired outcomes. A deep understanding of HVAC systems is crucial, along with the ability to manage project finances and contractual compliance.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute HVAC projects from inception to completion
• Manage resources, including the BOQ and ordering of materials
• Oversee claim submissions and manage variation orders
• Conduct site meetings and follow through on site instructions
• Ensure completion of projects align with client specifications and timelines
• Liaise with engineers and builders to achieve project goals
• Compile and submit O&M manuals post-project completion
• Facilitate effective communication across teams and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with building contracts
• Monitor and control labor and manage project budgets

What you'll need

• Project Management, Mechanical degree or trade-related qualification
• 5+ years' experience in a project management role
• Proven experience managing multiple HVAC projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, particularly machines and tools
• Own vehicle and valid drivers license
• Proficient in reading and measuring plans with attention to detail
• Experience managing BOQ and material ordering processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
