Job Summary

Tetra Pak has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Processing Sales Director who will be responsible for leading and managing sustainable profitable growth in Southern Africa. This role focuses on processing sales growth across all categories according to agreed strategies and plans.

The position is based in Johannesburg and reports to the Managing Director.

What you will do
  1. Drive sustainable profitable growth in processing solutions according to market strategy and plans.
  2. Manage deals and opportunities efficiently, including decision-making on quoting, pricing, and resourcing, following defined thresholds and priorities.
  3. Ensure compliance with Tetra Pak Processing Pricing Strategy, policies, and tools.
  4. Implement local sales strategies across all categories and develop capabilities aligned with targets.
  5. Manage channel and customer relationships effectively, including opportunity management, pipeline development, account planning, sales coverage, and target setting.
  6. Lead cross-functional strategic and key account management for processing solutions.
  7. Identify and develop new business categories and customer relationships.
  8. Drive product deployment and key component sales in the market.
  9. Engage employees actively, ensuring key messages are delivered and understood, sharing feedback and fostering dialogue.
We believe you have
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is advantageous).
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in the food processing and packaging industry, with a proven track record in processing sales and business development.
  • Experience in value-added selling of product offerings.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Portuguese fluency is an advantage.
  • South African citizenship with a valid ID; drivers license and passport (willing to travel extensively).
  • Strong people management skills and previous leadership experience.
  • Ability to work across boundaries in a global organization, think strategically, plan, and execute effectively.
  • Excellent communication, analytical skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
