Overview

An established company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize end-to-end operations, including importation, production, warehousing, logistics, and distribution. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient processes, legal compliance, effective team leadership, and alignment with strategic business goals. This position reports directly to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize end-to-end operations, including importation, production, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
• Ensure efficient processes and legal compliance across operations.
• Provide effective team leadership to achieve strategic objectives.
• Align operational activities with the company's strategic business goals and objectives.
• Report on performance, risks and opportunities to senior leadership, including the Managing Director.

Qualifications

• Matric essential; relevant tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Logistics or related field preferred
• Valid South African driver’s license and own transport
• 5–10 years’ proven experience managing large-scale operations, ideally in the lighting or electrical industry
• Strong background in electrical products and supply chain management
• Solid understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SYSPRO highly advantageous)
