JOB TITLE: Marketing Manager – Micromobility Products & Services

DEPARTMENT: Micromobility - SSA

BRANCH: South Africa

REPORTS TO: Director Micromobility SSA & SA

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The role requires an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the launch and growth of our Micromobility products and services across South Africa and key Sub-Saharan African markets. This role will be central to building and managing the ecosystem that integrates micro-financing, insurance, IoT solutions, charging infrastructure, and service networks, while driving sales growth and supporting distributors with robust Go-to-Market strategies.

Minimum Qualifications / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field (master’s preferred).

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in mobility, automotive, fintech, or IoT sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-country marketing campaigns in Africa.
  • Strong understanding of ecosystem-driven products (finance, insurance, IoT, infrastructure).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies to position our brand as a leader in sustainable urban mobility.
    • Drive adoption of micromobility solutions across diverse African markets.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Sales Growth
    • Design and implement Go-to-Market tactics and strategies to accelerate product sales.
    • Localize GTM approaches to fit the unique dynamics of South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Distributor Support & Ecosystem Development
    • Collaborate with distributors to develop and refine their Go-to-Market plans.
    • Evaluate and sign off on distributor action plans and budget requirements to ensure accountability and ROI.
    • Oversee marketing initiatives for the broader ecosystem, including micro-financing, insurance, IoT-enabled services, and charging/service networks.
  • Marketing Budget & Governance
    • Manage the overall marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Ensure strict adherence to procurement governance standards and compliance with corporate policies.
    • Monitor spend effectiveness and optimize investments across campaigns and partnerships.
  • Brand & Communication Management
    • Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, experiential, and traditional media.
    • Develop compelling narratives around sustainability, affordability, and innovation.
    • Manage PR, events, and stakeholder communications.
  • Customer Insights & Analytics
    • Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, regulatory environments, and competitive landscapes.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and measure ROI.
