Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as an Artisan (Fitter/Millwright).
• 5+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Experience with boilers, pumps, and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and plant equipment.
• Lead and manage a team of artisans and maintenance staff.
• Plan and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct inspections and manage the asset register.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for parts and services.
• Provide technical support to operations and ensure minimal downtime.

• Matric or equivalent
• Trade Test: Fitter or Millwright, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience with boilers, pumps, and conveyor systems
• Proficient in planned maintenance systems (e.g., Pragma, SAP PM)
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
• Safety- and quality-focused mindset
