Job summary

An educational institution in South Africa is looking for a Life Skills and Computer Literacy Lecturer for the 2026 academic year. Salary notch: R270 498.00 PA, plus 37% cash in lieu of benefit

Requirements
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Recognized and relevant tertiary qualification with computer/ computer literacy (REQV 13)
  • Advanced Teaching Diploma in TVT / Post Graduate Diploma TVET / Diploma in Secondary or Higher Education
  • Valid SACE registration (not provisional registration)
  • Teaching experience will be an added advantage
  • Sound subject knowledge and work-related applications
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Passion for teaching and learning
  • Customer care; leadership and management skills; assertiveness; good record keeping and administrative skills; be a team player, have passion for learning and teaching; as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Result Areas
  • Assist with enrolment, registration and induction of students
  • Teaching and learning delivery
  • Assess and evaluate student progress
  • Monitor student attendance register
  • Maintain student attendance and performance records
  • Creating classroom environment conducive to teaching and learning
  • Provide feedback to students regarding their performance and progress
  • Liaise with Senior Lecturers, Head of Division and Student Support Services officials in providing support interventions to students
  • Invigilation duties· Attend to uploading and management of LMS subject related portal.
