Job Purpose

This position is intended to assist the department in achieving its academic objectives, which include teaching in accordance with a predetermined curriculum, conducting research and innovation, participating in community engagement and teaching practice activities, as well as developing and designing curricula.

The successful candidate will teach in the field of Education in the SP & FET Phase with expertise in philosophy of education, sociology of education, inclusive education, and psychology of education at the Mowbray Campus.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • A relevant Master’s degree in Education or Education Studies.
  • An Honours degree in Education, or Education specialization (curriculum studies, educational management, philosophy of education, sociology of education, inclusive education, and psychology of education).
  • A relevant teaching qualification with a relevant major in SPFET (preferable at secondary school level).
  • Two (2) years relevant lecturing experience in SP & FET at tertiary level or five (5) years’ relevant teaching experience at school level.
  • Specialized knowledge of methodologies of teaching.
