- To teach Method of Mathematics at the Foundation Phase
- To teach Theories of Education at undergraduate level
- To contribute to faculty administration as required

- Mentor and evaluate students during SBL

- Facilitation of teaching, learning and assessment
- Teaching Method of Mathematics to Foundation Phase students
- Teaching Theories of Education to undergraduate students
- Have a sound knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
- Ability to teach the Method of FP Mathematics in English and isiXhosa
- Teaching Theories of Education to diverse cohort of undergraduate students
- Ability to develop teaching resources for the Method of FP Mathematics
- Should be able to develop curriculum
- Conducting scholarly work with an increasing focus on Africanization and Decolonization of the curriculum in the Foundation Phase
- Be able to supervise postgraduate students
Requirements
- A relevant Honours or Masters (M Ed degree or MA in Mathematics), and undergraduate Foundation Phase qualification
- A minimum of three-years’ experience of teaching Foundation Phase Mathematics in a school
- Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Mathematics, specialising in Foundation Phase Mathematics
- Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in Education Theories and Philosophies
- Sound knowledge of various techniques for teaching Foundation Phase Mathematics in isiXhosa
- Should be able to teach Foundation Phase Mathematics in isiXhosa and English
- Experience with Moodle, or similar learning platforms, will be an advantage
