Join our Hollywoodbets Purple Team, part of one of South Africa’s biggest success stories. Based in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, we have an opportunity for 2 Junior Sports Traders to help Hollywood remain the leading sports betting operator in South Africa. As a Junior Sports Trader, you will be responsible for offering specialized betting on an assigned sport across all betting platforms (internet, mobile, branches) and performing sports tasks in a professional, proactive manner to stay ahead of the competition in sports betting and customer service. You will ensure the specified sport functions in line with Hollywood’s guidelines and forecasts.

• Assist Sports Traders in all functionality of the department.
• Manage your assigned sport extensively to ensure the smooth running of the sport.
• Price up sports after researching teams, past results, standings and the global/local betting market; offer competitive betting that is up to date.
• Monitor and adjust betting due to market changes or liabilities.
• Analyse profit and loss figures for the sport to achieve required profit margins and turnover.
• Evaluate winning clients to determine whether limits are needed, and report to management for final decisions.
• Communicate with clients when a limit or adjustment is made to an account.
• Evaluate top winning tickets to ensure odds and times are correct and no mistakes were made.
• Prepare a weekly sport-specific report for management and update them on large liabilities in Syx.
• Forecast monthly turnover and profit figures and ensure the sport aligns with targets.
• Confirm large bets laid in branches or with the call center.
• Compile market comparisons with local bookmakers to assess our position and identify threats.
• Update outright betting for all tournaments and publish results promptly to payout winnings.
• Assist and guide sports agents to function effectively and request assistance for event creation as needed.
• Assist customers with sports betting queries or complaints and resolve disputes professionally and timely; support other departments or branches as needed.
• Support marketing by advertising your assigned sport to raise awareness of upcoming tournaments or big bets; coordinate with social media to promote betting openings and team/player prices.
