Job Description
  • We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Hydrocarbon Value Chain team as part of our Trading & Shipping function. The role will be based in London. This position reports directly to the Head of Hydrocarbon Value Chain and sits within the Trading & Shipping organisation.
  • The role has two main areas of focus – optimisation of trading activities and leading the commercial relationships with key counterparties. The successful candidate will have experience of working in the oil market, preferably with knowledge of physical crude and products trades.
  • They should also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, together with good presentation skills. A high level of numeracy and literacy is essential, along with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Accountabilities
  • Lead all aspects of and optimize trading activity for crude and refined product portfolios globally
  • Lead and manage commercial relationship with key counterparties
  • Provide regular updates on performance against budgets and forecasts
  • Develop strategic plans to enhance the profitability of trading activities
  • Implement best practice processes across all aspects of trading operations
  • Monitor exposures and mitigate risks associated with trading activities
  • Build effective relationships with other teams across the business
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Find opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions where appropriate
Qualifications
