Overview

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Workforce Planning & Talent Management: Collaborate with operational teams to maintain and update management grids succession plans and bench programs ensuring a pipeline of talent.
  • Recruitment & Selection Excellence: Spearhead the sourcing screening and shortlisting of suitable candidates manage interview scheduling and conduct thorough employee verification checks (criminal credit qualification ID and references).
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management: Ensure seamless induction processes for new hires assist line managers in developingday onboarding plans and proactively support probationary period management.
  • Industrial Relations & Compliance: Provide guidance and support to store management on disciplinary matters ensure timely setup of hearings and maintain consistent adherence to dismissal processes. Stay updated on CCMA cases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Training & Development: Assist in conducting skills analyses to identify training needs and identify suitable training providers to support employee development.
  • Retention & Performance: Monitor employee turnover implement talent retention strategies and support the recognition programs to foster a motivated workforce.
  • Policy & Process Management: Maintain and update HR policy manuals manage salary band revisions and oversee the Injury on Duty (IOD) process.
  • Employment Equity & Culture: Drive Employment Equity initiatives in recruitment and promotions facilitate the setup of EE meetings and contribute to fostering a positive workplace culture through various engagement initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Ensure the effective implementation of performance management systems including setting objectives documenting performance agreements and providing training to managers.
