This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing organisation operating across multiple African markets. The business has a strong brand presence, complex supply chains, and large-scale production facilities, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Head of Finance Africa will be responsible for the full financial leadership of the region, including financial strategy, governance, reporting, and operational finance. The role partners closely with executive leadership and country management teams to drive performance, cost optimisation, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the finance function across African operations.
• Drive financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Deliver accurate and timely management and statutory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements across regions.
• Partner with operations to improve manufacturing efficiencies, cost control, and margins.
• Oversee working capital, cash flow, and capital expenditure.
• Lead audits, risk management, and internal controls.
• Develop and lead regional finance teams, driving performance and succession planning.

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Education: CA(SA) non‑negotiable.
• Experience: Minimum years post‑qualification experience; strong background in FMCG or manufacturing environments (essential); experience managing finance across multiple African countries or regions; proven leadership experience managing senior finance teams.
• Skills: Strong IFRS knowledge; advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing environment; strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Other non‑negotiables: Ability to operate at executive level, willingness to travel within Africa, hands‑on, solutions‑driven leadership style.
