Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Is a dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced teacher.
• Has an appropriate university degree and professional qualification.
• Has an innovative and progressive approach to teaching Information Technology.
• Is able to innovate and teach Coding to Grade 8 and 9 pupils.
• Has expertise in Java Programming.
• Has thorough content knowledge of the IEB IT curriculum.
• Has the vision to identify and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new curriculum.
• Can bring the rapidly changing world of ITC into the classroom as well as the co-curricular programme to inspire and inform learners.
• Has knowledge of the assessment procedures of the Independent Examinations Board.
• Can work in a team which includes liaising with teachers teaching in the GET phase and the ITC support team.
• Is prepared to be part of a mentoring programme if necessary.
• Has good organisational as well as administrative skills,
• Is driven, can manage themselves and work independently.
