A leading medical staffing agency is seeking experienced General Practitioners in Johannesburg for a unique role within international medical assistance. This position offers the opportunity to provide healthcare services on a global scale and leads to potential career advancement into senior medical roles. Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery along with full HPCSA registration, and ideally have 5 years of experience in private practice, demonstrating strong skills in a multicultural environment. The role includes extensive travel and demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years post-community service.
• Qualifications in Travel / Tropical Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine are advantageous.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert medical advice and health risk assessments to clients worldwide.
• Coordinate international medical evacuations and patient movements.
• Conduct clinical reviews and referrals in collaboration with our global medical network.
• Participate in international deployments and provide on-the-ground support.
• Lead with agility, compassion, and professionalism in high-pressure environments.

Skills

Minimum 5 years post-community service

Minimum 5 years in private sector General Practice

Experience in international medical assistance or remote medical services

Strong computer literacy and documentation skills

Fluent in English (verbal and written)

French or Portuguese is a plus

Education

Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery

Full HPCSA registration for Independent Practice as a General Practitioner
