Job Responsibilities

Your Main Responsibilities Will Be To

  • Supervise a team of 10-15 quality inspectors in Newcastle, South Africa, and oversee their performance through KPIs, taking actions based on results.
  • Act as a trainer and coach, providing technical support and conducting performance evaluations and on-site audits.
  • Foster a sense of belonging within the team.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve service standards and prevent quality issues.
  • Lead client claim investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Represent QIMA in client meetings, support sales development, provide technical expertise, and initiate inspection programs.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the inspection program for KA clients in the region.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and factories.
  • Optimize and reduce regional costs.

Qualifications

Your Profile

To succeed, you should have:

  • A Master’s degree in engineering, with familiarity in Quality Management or Product Organization.
  • Practical experience in QC inspections and a desire to improve protocols.
  • A technology-driven mindset.
  • Potential and willingness to manage large teams with a focus on performance management.
  • Ability to travel for team meetings and site visits.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
