Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Quality Control and Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality within our organization. The ideal candidate will advise on safety measures, conduct risk assessments, and enforce preventative measures. Role involves promoting a safe workplace, providing training, and investigating incidents to improve overall safety.

Responsibilities
  • In line with the company's objective to be the leading supplier of nutritional supplements to the Foods Industry, that the company has undertaken to implement FSSC.
  • Ensure that all Food products meet statutory, regulatory and customers’ requirements.
  • To manage a food safety team and organize its work.
  • To Ensure relevant training and education of food safety provided team members.
  • Ensure food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained, and updated.
  • To report to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.
  • To liaise with external parties on matters relating to food safety.
  • Report on the effectiveness and suitability of PRP’s to management.
  • Ensure that the PRP’s are established, implemented, maintained, and continually improved.
  • Handling customer complaints.
  • Personal hygiene inspections
  • Planning of Internal Audits.
  • Close out of internal/external audit findings.
  • Arranging audits and accompanying auditor during audit.
  • Liaison with suppliers.
  • Overseeing Cleaning Operations
  • Inspection Of Packaging
  • Inspection of Protective clothing
  • Pest Control and hygiene services
  • Organizing Training
  • Pest Control and Hygiene services
  • Compile, update, maintain Food Safety Management System and procedures.
  • Perform sampling of finished product and finished products and /or raw material in addition to any request
  • Maintain traceability through documentation and record control
  • Conducting physical test such as sugar using HPLC-Brix meter
  • Ensure that verification of scales and thermometers is done weekly
  • Managing LIMS
