Job summary

A financial services firm in Gauteng is seeking a Financial Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a RE5 qualification, have a tertiary education such as a B.Comm, and preferably advanced financial planning certifications like CFP. Responsibilities include providing estate planning advice and maintaining strong client relationships. Candidates must demonstrate proven sales abilities, possess their own vehicle and smartphone, and be proactive in their approach to client service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year’s financial planning experience.
  • Good understanding of the Financial Services industry.
  • Ability to provide Estate Planning advice.

Overview

Thank you for electing to apply for a Financial Planner position at Ubuntu Capital.

As you are currently a financial planner we assume that you already adhere to the fit and proper requirements in terms of the FAIS Act.

What we require of you

Your date of first appointment (DOFA) as a financial planner/advisor

Qualifications
  • Passed or currently studying for your RE5
  • Tertiary qualification such as a B.Comm is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced Financial Planning qualifications (eg: CFP) are highly advantageous.

  • Good understanding of legislation governing investment markets (local and offshore), investment vehicles and retirement funds
  • Good understanding of the tax implications of the various investment options available
Technology
  • Computer literate
  • Experience using CRM systems is highly advantageous
Working Experience
  • Minimum one year\'s’ financial planning experience
  • Proven sales track record
Other Requirements:
  • Own car and valid driver\'s license
  • Own laptop and smartphone
