Job description

Red Ember Recruitment s client is seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to manage the full financial function of their offshore operations.

This role is based in Johannesburg and will also provide support to the local South African division. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of IFRS excellent consolidation and reporting skills and prior experience handling offshore financial structures and inter-company transactions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver timely accurate financial reports and board packs
• Manage inter-company transactions transfer pricing and compliance
• Oversee VAT and tax submissions and reconciliations
• Handle foreign currency accounts and offshore reporting
• Compile and consolidate flash / final packs
• Drive budget vs. actual performance reviews and reporting
• Supervise and develop the finance team
• Implement internal control processes and policy adherence
• Provide audit support and manage year-end processes

Requirements

CA(SA) OR BCom Honours in Finance / Accounting (non-negotiable)

Minimum 2 years experience as a Financial Controller

IFRS knowledge and application

Sage & Advanced Excel skills required

Strong VAT compliance experience

Previous exposure to offshore or multi-entity financial management

Retail experience advantageous
