Job summary

A leading South African recruitment agency seeks a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a BCom degree and preferably be CIMA qualified, with up to 3 years of experience in a FMCG environment. The role offers a salary of R28,000 for graduates and R30,000 for CIMA qualified candidates, with a range of R30,000 to R35,000 depending on experience. This package is TCTC, with no additional benefits.

Job Purpose

Support the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in all financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the company and subsidiaries, optimizing efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and administer the setting of quality budget and forecasts for sales and operational areas of the company and subsidiaries.
• Assist in weekly/monthly detailed analysis of company CAPEX and overheads to review actual performance against set budgets and targets.
• Administrate control processes and procedures to ensure sales controllable costs are in line with budget.
• Assist in performing financial and non-financial management reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Assist in administration of reporting tools and reports needed for financial reporting.
• Support the monitoring, reviewing, reporting and tracking of financial achievement against budget on a timely basis and report deviances for corrective action.
• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of reporting on customer and product profitability.
• Assist in performing ad-hoc analysis such as analyzing sales, marketing and operational areas to support strategy development and improve efficiency.
• Assist in recognizing patterns, trends and opportunities in weekly gross profits.
• Assist in the administration of accurate product costing and variance analysis.
• Serve as finance support to sales, marketing and operational areas.

Qualifications

• BCom Financial Degree and preferably CIMA qualified.
• 0–3 years of financial experience in a FMCG environment is preferred.
• Functional competencies in financial analysis and reporting, strategic planning and execution, and financial control.

Salary and Benefits

For a graduate, the salary will be R28,000 per month. For a graduate who is CIMA qualified, the salary will be R30,000 per month. Otherwise, the salary will range between R30,000 and R35,000 CTC per month, depending on experience.
