Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform weekly and monthly inspections of site facilities including structural inspections of the administration building and warehouse
- Request quotes from suppliers and log calls with service providers for work beyond own scope
- Order and manage stock required for maintenance activities
- Attend to and oversee service providers on site ensuring work is completed to standard
- Compile and submit monthly reports such as utility meter readings contractor hours and inspection outcomes
- Carry out minor electrical and plumbing repairs where applicable
- Conduct routine HSE checks and ensure compliance with all site safety requirements
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide feedback on work completed
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in work areas before during and after tasks
- Must be able to work overtime as and when required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- NQF level 4 (preferred).
- Relevant trade qualification as an Electrician with a valid Trade Test.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a facilities or technical maintenance role.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to carry out minor electrical and plumbing repairs (non-major works).
- Sound knowledge of HSE requirements and compliance standards.
- Administrative competence able to log calls request quotes and process stock orders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with contractors service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with good organizational and reporting skills.
