Job description

Our client, a market leader in the motor vehicle industry with a footprint across South Africa and neighbouring countries, is seeking a Senior Digital & Graphics Designer to join their creative team in Kempton Park. This pivotal role will support a flagship brand within the car rental division while also contributing to high-impact creative projects across the group’s multiple brands and business units, spanning retail, rentals, and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned design professional with a proven track record of delivering exceptional creative work in brand-driven, fast-paced environments. You will be comfortable owning the creative process from concept to execution, collaborating across disciplines, and producing work that upholds the integrity and visual excellence of established corporate identities.

Important: A strong, relevant portfolio showcasing both digital and large-format print work is mandatory. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered and will be deleted.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the design and development of creative assets for multiple brands, including social media campaigns, websites, mailers, billboards, pull-up banners, in-branch branding, print collateral, and large-format installations.
  • Ensure brand consistency and uphold corporate identity standards across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, copywriting, and development teams to interpret briefs, conceptualise creative solutions, and deliver impactful visual communication.
  • Prepare print-ready artwork and digital files to exacting specifications for production.
  • Maintain and manage brand asset libraries, ensuring up-to-date and accessible marketing materials.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Stay ahead of design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in both digital and print design.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 7+ years’ professional design experience, with a substantial portion in senior-level or lead creative roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Corporate Identities, including contributing to their creation, rollout, and brand governance.
  • A portfolio showcasing excellence in digital design (web, social, mailers) and large-format print (billboards, POS, vehicle branding, in-store signage).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; After Effects and Dreamweaver advantageous).
  • Strong grasp of layout, typography, composition, and UX/UI principles.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, HTML/CSS, and responsive design for desktop and mobile.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and social media trends.
  • Bonus skills: Animation, motion graphics, and 3D sketching.
