Job Overview

Customer Service Representative – Remote/Hybrid, Full‑time – Yellow Springs, Ohio (Job Requisition ID: R****). Xylem is a Fortune global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day.

Role Summary

The Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring an elevated customer experience and seamless order coordination within the Customer Success team. This position ensures order accuracy and efficiency through collaboration with customers, sales teams, logistics, and operations.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provide service and support to customers and YSI locations worldwide.
  • Process orders received via phone, e‑mail, EDI, and e‑commerce.
  • Engage with customers to clarify order details, provide order updates, and resolve issues.
  • Process RMA’s, credits, and restocking fees for product returns.
  • Coordinate and respond to customer requests for information involving internal departments such as accounting, shipping, planning/scheduling, and technical support.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to streamline order processing and order fulfillment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s in business administration or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a fast‑paced global customer‑service environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of order‑processing software and workflows.
  • Preferred experience with Oracle 11i or SAP.
  • CRM experience a plus.
  • Experience working with international customers and ability to prepare letters of credit, pro‑forma invoices highly desired.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications with a desire to delight the customer.
  • Mindset of process improvement with an eye toward efficiency and innovation.
Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move throughout the facility. Must be able to sit and stand for an extended period of time.

Compensation & Benefits

Standard weekly hours: 40 hours. Starting pay is based on skills, experience, and location. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package with generous benefits: medical, dental, vision (including company contribution), paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
