Tzaneen Area – Limpopo: The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial operations of the packhouse and processing, ensuring the minimising/mitigating of all risks whilst maximising revenue through optimising returns. This includes for fresh, identifying the best market for specific fruits, assessing income potential and associated risks, and ensuring that produce is directed to the most suitable market to achieve the highest possible profitability. For the local market developing and executing marketing plans for commodities and brands.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A relevant degree in Business Management, Agricultural Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred but not essential
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in a commercial management role, preferably within the agriculture, food production, or FMCG sectors.
  • Experience in managing packhouse operations, logistics, and/or distribution channels is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering on financial and operational targets.

  • Strong commercial acumen coupled with exceptional analytical ability to align market trends, customer needs, and business performance.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP or inventory management software.
