Job summary

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a qualified CNC Machinist in Gqeberha. The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC programming and machining, with at least 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include operating CNC machines and ensuring quality in produced parts. Applicants should have good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Preference will be given to designated groups as per the Employment Equity Act.

Qualifications

  • 2 – 5 years of experience in machining/tool making environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in CNC programming and machining.
  • Ability to work accurately and under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic CNC programming and operation of the CNC machine.
  • Managing quality of manufactured parts.

Overview

SUMMARY : Qualified CNC Machinist with good job knowledge about machining, programming and operating the CNC.

Position Info

Position info : Basic Requirements :

  • Formal Tertiary education : Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Toolmaker / Fitter & turner)
  • Computer literate
  • Languages : English – Read, write and speak (required)
  • Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
  • Drivers Licence : Code 8- (required)
Experience
  • 2 – 5 years after qualified within the machining / tool making environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in CNC programming and machining
Job requirements
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings and manufacturing of all items broken down to individual components
  • Ability to perform basic CNC programming and operation of the CNC machine
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Timing and quality of finished goods
  • Proficient on workshop equipment and machines
  • Work accurately and efficiently to meet deadlines and achieve targets as assigned
  • Ability to work as a team and individually when required
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be a quick decision maker and discuss with your superior
  • Manage the quality of each individual part manufactured for the project
  • Support the Code of conduct, Company policies and JQS
