The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Microsoft Azure and Hitachi Vantara technologies, along with a strong command of automation scripting using tools like Terraform and Ansible. The role offers the chance to develop secure and scalable cloud infrastructures aligned with client business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, solution design, or hybrid cloud implementation.
• Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and solution deployment.

About the job Cloud Solutions Engineer / Architect

Cloud Solutions Engineer Architect - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud solutions (on-prem + Azure).
• Develop secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructures aligned with business needs.
• Write and maintain scripts for automation, monitoring, and orchestration (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams for integrated cloud solutions.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS).
• Monitor and optimize performance, security, and cost of cloud infrastructure.
• Document cloud architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, solution design, or hybrid cloud implementation.
• Strong experience with:
  • Hitachi Vantara technologies (storage, backup, DR).
  • Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security, automation).
• Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and solution deployment.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, etc.) and automation scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and governance.
