Chef de Partie Luxury Private Game Reserve Eastern Cape

Salary: R12,000 per month, Live-In Position

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie for a prestigious 5-star private game reserve based in the Eastern Cape. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-end kitchen brigade and contribute to delivering exceptional guest dining experiences in a luxury safari setting.

Minimum Criteria
  • Diploma or formal qualification in Culinary Arts
  • Completed commercial cookery apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience producing upmarket cuisine
  • Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role within a 5-star lodge or hotel environment
  • Current Food Handler Health Card or HACCP / Food Safety Certificate
Key Performance Areas
  • Ability to produce a variety of authentic and innovative cuisines
  • Assist kitchen management in ensuring readiness for service before each shift
  • Remain current with industry standards policies and procedures
  • Proper care and handling of all kitchen equipment tools and machinery
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures to ensure top-tier food quality for guests
  • Assist with maintaining accurate kitchen records
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety health and safety and security regulations in accordance with local legislation
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure seamless service and consistently high standards of personalised guest service
Required Competencies
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with GAAP, POS and MS Excel
  • Solid understanding of food costing and waste control
  • Sober habits and strong attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s licence preferred
  • Strong understanding of Food & Beverage service
