Job description

Certification Sales Consultant – Grow our client base in Food Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management Systems (e.g., FSSC ISO).

In this role, you'll combine your management systems expertise with business development skills to connect with prospective clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored certification solutions.

Experience in implementing or auditing management systems is essential, while sales experience will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage prospective clients to achieve growth targets.
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommend certification solutions suited to client operations and risk profiles.
  • Prepare professional quotations, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Build strong relationships and ensure smooth handovers to certification and audit teams.
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Keep accurate sales records, pipeline reports, and CRM updates.
  • Collaborate with certification and technical teams to ensure service delivery.
  • Stay current on relevant standards, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Provide insights for strategic planning based on market feedback.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Food Technology, Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in implementing and/or auditing management systems (e.g., ISO, FSSC).
  • Prior experience in sales or business development within the certification or compliance sector (advantageous).
  • Experience working in a team environment with direct client liaison.
  • Ability to identify and pursue business opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Experience working under pressure and delivering on deadlines.
  • Own reliable car and valid driver's licence.
  • Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates.
