Job description

A business development manager (BDM) is crucial to driving growth, increasing revenue, and forging new partnerships. The primary function of a business development manager is to identify growth opportunities, create and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure sustained business growth.

NOTE: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO SPEND TWO WEEKS AT THE HEADOFFICE IN UAE (Dubai)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth, expand market presence, and achieve revenue targets.
  2. Identify, approach, and secure new partnerships.
  3. Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring favourable and mutually beneficial agreements while managing the entire customer acquisition process.
  4. Stay informed on the products available from providers, understanding their features, functionalities, and upcoming releases to effectively present them to customers.
  5. Continuously adapt strategies based on new market conditions, regulatory changes, and technological advancements within the industry.
  6. Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and growth areas, always staying ahead of the competition.
  7. Analyze competitors' products, services, and marketing initiatives to refine sales strategies and enhance current market position.
  8. Monitor regional and industry trends, customer feedback, and the competitive landscape to identify areas for growth, innovation, and new product opportunities.
  9. Act as the primary point of contact for new customers during the acquisition phase, building and nurturing strong relationships by providing tailored solutions that meet their needs.
  10. Ensure a seamless handover to the Account Manager once customers are onboarded and set up, for ongoing management and support.
  11. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance brand awareness and product usage.
  12. Conduct in-depth market research to analyze trends, customer behavior, and competitor strategies for identifying business opportunities.
  13. Develop tailored strategies and initiatives to improve customer experience and drive revenue growth.
  14. Review product and team performance regularly, identifying areas for improvement.
  15. Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders including sponsors, partners, and affiliates.
  16. Develop and execute marketing strategies across retail and digital channels.
  17. Monitor marketing performance metrics, analyze results, and make data-driven adjustments for improved effectiveness.

Attend industry events, conferences, and expos (ICE, Sigma, iGB, etc.) to network and represent the company.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the industry/sector market and trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Additional skills: Bootstrap, Web design, Adobe Animate (advantage).
