Job Title: Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor - Paarl

Purpose of the Role
To promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s products and increase market share through:
- Providing sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a branch setting.
- Creating opportunities for client optimization and cross-selling of value-added services.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Delivery
- Gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of SRM product ranges.
- Understand customer needs, financial goals, and means, providing the most suitable and affordable products.
- Update and inform customers about new or changed products, managing their portfolios accordingly.
- Validate client details per product and regulatory requirements, and submit new business through appropriate channels.
- Conduct due diligence to identify and flag risks.
- Manage capacity to prioritize appointments and handle walk-in clients.
In-Branch Client Service and Retention
- Service and manage all client profiles to retain clients.
- Send reminders, follow-up, and support clients as needed.
- Manage and report on NTUs, implementing controls and corrective actions.
- Maintain client payment persistency for branch and clients.
- Assess client risk profiles to identify support needs.
- Consult on alternative payment arrangements and ensure proper processing.
- Handle policy cancellations and provide alternatives.
- Resolve client queries or escalate appropriately, providing ongoing feedback.
Quality, Compliance, and Development
- Adhere to compliance and quality standards.
- Maintain registration, product knowledge, and CPD points.
- Identify risks and flag potential fraud.
- Keep records of advice and activities for compliance.
- Provide data for reporting and decision-making.
Monthly Planning and Reporting
- Report activities daily using relevant platforms.
- Compile data for weekly and monthly reports.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Retail Branch Manager.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- RE5 advantageous
- FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements
- Class of Business training (to be completed within 12 months of employment)
- Experience in Sales, Retail, or Business Development roles
