POSITION SUMMARY
Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, make introductions, and ensure that all arrangements are agreeable. Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information, determine proper set up timeline, and address specific guest needs for buffets, action stations, etc. Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements. Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Meet group coordinator/host(ess) prior to functions, introduce them, and ensure all arrangements are agreeable.
- Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information and determine proper setup timelines.
- Identify and address specific guest needs for buffets, action stations, etc.
- Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements; follow up to ensure compliance.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain uniform and professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guest service needs and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally; answer telephones with proper etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; read and visually verify information in various formats.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces; navigate stairs and service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees; perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience : At least 2 years of related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience : No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification : None
- Required Experience : IC
