Job Specification
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the social development personnel.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of programmes, events, outings, camps, and activities.
  • Liaise and communicate with external resources, scholars, parents and alumni as required.
  • Plan and implement interventions for scholars and alumni.
  • Assist with the planning, management and financial management for all social development programmes.
  • Accompany scholars and alumni to events, outings, activities and appointments.
  • Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of scholar functioning and progress as well as programme effectiveness.
  • Manage scholar alumni and programme administration.
What We’re Looking For
  • Relevant qualification as an auxiliary social worker or related field.
  • 3 years experience as an auxiliary social worker.
  • A background in youth development and education would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • develop, implement and coordinate programmes
    • interact, connect and communicate very effectively with a wide range of individuals
    • manage administrative responsibilities
    • facilitate workshops or events
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills are essential.
  • Excellent planning and project management skills are essential.
  • Excellent administrative skills which includes computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are essential.
  • Ability to implement multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines. Organised and able to think ahead.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a positive member of the team.
  • Passionate about youth development in South Africa social impact and building meaningful connections.
  • Passionate about supporting a social work team.
  • Focussed on excellence and quality in everything you do.
  • Ability to positively deal with change and / or crisis situations.
