Job description

An Assistant Professor is developing their own research and teaching interests and is becoming known nationally for their work. They will effectively contribute to curriculum development, publish in peer‑reviewed international journals or other appropriate outlets and are likely to have edited collections of work or meeting proceedings. They should be beginning to show academic leadership in their teaching and/or their research specialty and be involved in administrative duties at least at Department/School level.

Person Specification:

Essential:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• Masters in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
• With at least 5 years of teaching/work experience at the Lecturer rank or equivalent
• Demonstrated evidence of research and/or publication record in Scopus/SCI journals
• Demonstrated evidence in learning and teaching and the potential to become an effective teacher
