Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to temporarily support our accounts / GL function during a team member’s maternity leave. The role focuses on general ledger duties, monthly closings, and financial reconciliations. You will be working closely with the CFO and team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting including journal entries, recurring adjustments, and bank entries.
Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
Maintain supporting documents and schedules for audit and reporting.
Handle fixed asset register updates and basic intercompany entries.
Support ad hoc reporting or finance-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a group or retail setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software (e.g., SAP, or equivalent).
Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Team player with a positive working attitude and willingness to support during peak periods.
Contract Period
Estimated: September to April (subject to actual leave duration and handover period)
