Lead Backend Developer(Non banking)
Job summary
A leading consultancy firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced Backend Developer to architect, develop, and maintain backend services for their enterprise-grade portal solutions. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, particularly with C++, and a solid understanding of enterprise-level web applications. Responsibilities include leading design tasks, developing RESTful APIs, and optimizing performance in production environments. The position offers the opportunity to champion a culture of continuous learning and mentorship within the team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with strong proficiency in C++, C#, Go, or Java.
- Solid understanding of enterprise-level web applications.
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployments and containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of modern agile software development principles.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain backend services of enterprise-grade portal solutions.
- Take ownership of system level design tasks and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to system design and code reviews.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and documentation within the team.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with various services and databases.
- Review and mentor developers on best practices and code patterns.
- Perform unit testing and automated testing for code quality.
- Diagnose, debug, and optimize performance bottlenecks in production environments.
Skills
- Architect, develop, and maintain backend services of our enterprise-grade portal solutions.
- Take ownership of system level design tasks and collaborate with frontend developers, and other stakeholders to align backend solutions with overall system goals.
- Lead technical discussions and contribute to system design, and architecture andcode reviews.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the development team.
- Lead by example in producing clean high-quality, reusable code following established best practices for scalability and security.
- Developing RESTful APIs and integrate with various third-party services and databases.
- Reviewing and mentoring developers on the use of best practices and code patterns.
- Perform unit testing and automated testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Diagnose, debug, problems and optimize performance bottlenecks in productionenvironments.
- Minimum 10+years of experience as a Backend Developer with strong proficiency in a either C++, C#, GO, or Java.
- C++ experience is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of enterprise-level web applications.
- Strong understanding of relational database management systems (and SQL).
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of modern agile software development principles and practices.
- Experience with any of the following would be considered a bonus
- Enterprise SaaS platform development
- Microservices and message-oriented architectures
- NoSQL /Document database systems
- gRPC, or Message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
