A leading construction firm in Singapore seeks a Waterproofing and Flooring Specialist to perform waterproofing works and install a variety of flooring systems for diverse projects. The role demands technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standards. Ideal candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in waterproofing and flooring, a knowledge of systems and materials, and the ability to follow project specifications. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work locations, including construction sites and confined spaces.
The Waterproofing and Flooring Specialist is responsible for carrying out waterproofing works and installing various flooring systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role requires hands‑on technical skills, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Apply waterproofing systems for roofs, toilets, bathrooms, balconies, basements, and wet areas
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, priming, and repairing substrates
Install membranes, coatings, sealants, and joint treatments according to specifications
Conduct water ponding and leakage tests to ensure effectiveness
Identify and rectify waterproofing defects or leaks
Install different types of flooring such as epoxy, vinyl, tiles, screed, laminate, and concrete flooring
Perform surface preparation including leveling, grinding, and moisture control
Apply adhesives, coatings, and finishing layers correctly
Ensure flooring works meet alignment, finishing, and durability standards
Follow project drawings, method statements, and work schedules
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and site safety requirements
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition
Coordinate with supervisors, site engineers, and other trades
Report work progress, issues, and material usage
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in waterproofing and/or flooring works
Hands‑on experience with common waterproofing systems (membranes, PU, cementitious, epoxy, etc.)
Knowledge of flooring materials and installation methods
Ability to read basic drawings and follow work instructions
Physically fit and able to work on construction sites
Safety‑conscious with good work discipline
Relevant trade certification or CSCS / safety training is an advantage
Construction sites (residential, commercial, and industrial)
Outdoor and indoor works, including wet areas and confined spaces
Requires physical work, standing for long hours, and use of tools and equipment
