Job Description

As the Finance Analyst at A*STAR, you will play a critical FP&A role in the financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring the financial health of A*STAR.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide timely and insightful financial updates and reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.

· Drive cost and operational excellence through deep technical expertise, data analysis and business partnership.

· Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision making (revenue and expenditure forecasting, cash flow analysis, scenario planning etc.)

· Analyse large datasets, identify trends and perform variance analysis with financial software proficiency (SAP, Tableau, Power BI or other similar platforms)

· Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights for solutioning in a collaborative manner, with ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise recommendations for non-financial audiences.

· Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

· Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)

· Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

· Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous

· Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
