Job summary
A design firm based in Singapore is looking for a qualified designer to lead various projects from concept to completion. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Architecture or Interior Design, at least 2 years of experience in Corporate Office Interior Design, and strong skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp. The position demands excellent communication and attention to detail, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Corporate Office Interior Design.
- Dedicated and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work rapidly under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept to final presentation.
- Produce high-standard concept work and mentor junior members.
- Contribute to business development and client presentations.
Skills
Education
- Lead the design process from concept development to final presentation, ensuring high-quality outputs and creative solutions.
- Produce high-standard concept work using hand sketches, digital, and traditional media, while mentoring junior team members on projects.
- Proactively contribute to business development, including pitches, proposal writing, and presentations.
- Create and review drawing packages for schematic and detailed design stages.
- Attend client meetings independently or with a project leader, contributing to or leading client presentations.
- Source reference materials and conduct research to ensure materials and products are fit for purpose.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market trends, clients, and their competitors.
- Conduct site visits independently, addressing any issues that arise.
- Participate in site measurements, layout planning, and material selection.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office is essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Corporate Office Interior Design.
- Dedicated and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Ability to work rapidly under pressure with attention to detail.
