The Ngiam Family Visiting Professorship, established in 2024, seeks to attract outstanding scholars/professors of Chinese Studies/Studies of China to pursue and develop advanced research at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CoHASS), NTU Singapore. Each year the research focus will change to ensure that NTU maintains sustained global engagement with a wide range of cutting‑edge projects relating to China.
The Ngiam Family Professorship is supported by a generous endowment from Mr Ngiam Tong Yuen and his family.

The successful applicant will also be expected to teach where possible and advise/mentor junior faculty. The proposed visiting period for this engagement is 2 months.
